Storuman Municipality is a large municipality in Southern Lapland. Approximately 6,000 people live here, with just over half residing in the urban areas of Storuman/Stensele and Tärnaby/Hemavan. For those who enjoy an active life close to nature, there is a fantastic selection of experiences, both summer and winter. Imagine gliding along a well-prepared ski track in the magical winter light, a mirror-like mountain lake on a summer evening when the sun refuses to set, a bog in a forest clearing glowing gold with ripe cloudberries, or a freshly brewed cup of coffee in a sunbeam in April. All of this and more are experiences available in our immediate surroundings. Our municipality is not just a place to live, but a place where you can live a wonderful life. Storuman Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we value knowledge of the Sami language and culture.

ABOUT THE JOB
Now you have the opportunity to help shape the future of municipal rehabilitation. We are looking for a Medical Responsible for Rehabilitation (MAR) who wants to contribute to developing safe, secure, and person-centered care close to the residents.
From July 1, 2026, a national requirement for a Medical Responsible for Rehabilitation (MAR) will be introduced. We are therefore looking for you who want to take a strategic and central role in the development of rehabilitation within municipal health and medical care. Through inter-municipal cooperation, you will work for several municipalities with one of them as the formal employer. The cooperating municipalities are Lycksele, Storuman, Sorsele, and Malå. You have the opportunity to choose which municipality you want to base yourself in.
As an MAR, you will play a key role in strengthening quality, patient safety, and medical competence within the rehabilitation and assistive technology sector. You will contribute to creating more cohesive, accessible, and person-centered rehabilitation close to the residents. This is a unique opportunity for you who want to take clear professional leadership and influence the development of future municipal health and medical care.
In this role, you are responsible for developing, monitoring, and ensuring quality and patient safety within the rehabilitation activities. You work on creating, revising, and following up on routines and working methods, and serve as an expert support to managers and employees. The assignment also includes overall monitoring and analysis of deviations, journal reviews, handling of Lex Maria reports, and driving systematic improvement work based on results and identified areas for development.
You lead and participate in development and training initiatives, represent the municipalities in various forums and networks, and contribute to work with agreements and agreement follow-ups. A key part of the assignment is to collaborate both within and between the municipalities, as well as with the region and other MAS and MAR functions in the county.
The position involves varied and independent work with great opportunities to influence content and working methods. Since the assignment covers several municipalities, travel between facilities will occur. At the same time, there are good opportunities for flexible and digital work when the operations allow.
YOUR PROFILE
We believe in the right competence in the right place.
We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist or occupational therapist and who have extensive experience working in primary care or municipal health and medical care. You have a strong commitment to quality development, patient safety, and systematic improvement work. You are accustomed to working digitally and feel confident handling both administrative tasks and collaboration with different professions, operations, and organizations.
As a person, you are independent, structured, and used to planning and driving your work with great freedom under responsibility. You have good analytical skills and can see both the big picture and the details. You are confident in your profession and have the integrity to ask questions, raise risks, and question things when necessary to ensure quality and patient safety.
You easily build trusting relationships and communicate clearly and professionally in both speech and writing in Swedish. A B-class driver's license is required for the position as travel is part of the assignment. We work value-driven in all municipalities and want your approach and actions to align with our well-established collaboration, values, and visions. Therefore, great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
